Release? Release what? well, we often find in the first session a lifetime of stress being held in the body, that the client didn't even realise was there. Gentle Release therapists use energy skills to find areas that need attention, and are trained to know when it's time to move to the next area or technique.
We use Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Theory to understand what's going on in the body. For example the Liver is a key organ in TCM it helps the flow of Qi (Energy) around the body, the Liver is linked to Ligaments and Tendons, so muscular tension may well be connected to the Liver. The emotions connected to the Liver are anger and frustration...imagine someone really angry and all those ligaments and tendons becoming so tight in their body they look like they might explode! The Liver is also linked with the time 1am to 3am, so if you find yourself waking at these times and not able to get back to sleep for a while, you and your Liver may appreciate some help. Gentle Release Therapy uses techniques to support and release not only the Liver energy but also the other key organs in TCM. We also have extremely gentle emotional release techniques that we can use if there is an issue in particular that's causing you stress.
In addition to the TCM work with the abdominal organs we also incorporate cranial release regularly into treatments which involves an extremely light touch which can allow the body to release on another level. We also have techniques that release the endocrine (hormone system) and lymphatic system that can be used as required. All treatments are tailored to deal with what your body needs to release at that moment in time.
After treatments clients often feel lighter in both the head and abdomen and will very often be so relaxed they go and take a much needed nap, or be so energised they get loads of work done that they have been struggling with for ages!
The advertising standards agency is very rigid in what we can say about the efficacy of complementary therapies, eventually we hope to do some clinical trials. However we can say that the treatments help with relaxation, and helping relaxation helps stress. How many health problems are caused or exacerbated by stress....too many to list! If you are wondering if Gentle Release Therapy may help you please feel free to contact us.
As Gentle Release Practitioners, we are facilitating getting your own body flowing back into balance, it's not what we do as such, your body is allowing the release, we are just giving time and space for that to happen. This means you can even use Gentle Release techniques to treat yourself as part of a regular self care routine, or you may use them to help your children or family. To learn some of these techniques you may wish to purchase our online course which will allow you to use some of the key techniques on yourself and family members or you may even consider becoming a Gentle Release Practitioner! When there are deeper things to release it is worth seeing a practitioner, it's very hard to be objective when working on yourself, and in many of us we have it ingrained that 'we are fine' when actually we are very much not and could benefit from a little help.

"I just wanted to again thank you for a truly amazing 3 days i had with everyone. I now know that this was not just another therapy I was learning but a voyage of discovery about myself. Your technique is the key which helps unlock our most innermost thoughts and feelings, giving us all permission to be ourselves. This only happens when love, compassion and trust of others encompasses your soul and allows it to happen. You have created a wonderful therapy Helen. Bless you always and not forgetting the lovely Katie too!"
"I trained with Helen in Gentle Release Therapy release and all I can say is that it has given me the permission to finally put together the different approaches learned over more than 18 years in the world of healing, massage and yoga. Her knowledge is impressive, her love for teaching is felt, all in a relaxed environment and a lot of support. I have used GRT in all my treatments so far, sometimes by itself, at other times in combination with massage, fertility work. The feedback of people always amuse me as they are fascinated by the fact that such a gentle touch can have tremendous results. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking at working more subtly and deeply at the same time."
"Thank you Helen Robinson for a GROUND BREAKING course! I am so excited to have this therapy to work with on my clients. There is so much potential for it. I have been so inspired to be able to use it to work with men, so that I can support couples in their healing. You were so generous with everything and so calm. You created such a good space for us all to be able to have some profound releases. I have released trauma that has been held in me for many years and I felt safe in your care to release it... Thank you Can't wait to start my case studies! Xx"
"I suffer from Ménière’s disease which manifests itself in lack of balance, dizziness and visual disturbance along with chronic fatigue. I have had numerous treatments with Helen and always leave feeling so much better.....more invigorated and relieved of my symptoms. I always create Helen a challenge, but she always delivers relief!"
"I started seeing Helen when I was suffering with pain in my wrists, neck and shoulder. Helen recommended Gentle Release Therapy, I started seeing Helen every few weeks to start with then every month after that. I started to see results and feel better soon after my first treatment. I also saw a massive difference with my eczema too. 6 months later my body, skin and well-being was totally different. I would definitely recommend trying this."
